Special effects

I am the head of the special effects department for this film. My main goal is to express the internal demon which is hidden within the protagonist/antagonist through acts of vile savagery. To put it lightly, every human has the hidden gift that will allow them to kill another person (It justs needs to be freed from it's chains with a reasonable excuse). This story is about a mother seeking revenge for the murder of her child, something every GOOD mother in the world would do. I'm not a mother nor a father, but I due have family. A family I love very deeply. And there is not a soul in this world I would not happily rip apart piece by piece (very very slowly, to hear them beg for death) to defend them. You can say that is my connection to this story. Don't get me wrong I'm all for peace and love and all that good stuff, there's just people in this world who I feel should be shown what their internal organs look like for their crimes. So in conclusion I say defend what you love and let the madness begin.

Art Department

Just a note about production. I feel this movie will be the best thing to come out of this program ever. Well at least to this point., who knows what the future holds. This film feels special to me because of it's intentions and implications. This hard hitting in your face drama will work on screen because of its stomach turing content and because of it's all star crew. To the people making this movie I salute you all. I wouldn't trade any of you for anyone else. You are all masters of your craft and I am personaly thrilled to say I will be on the same set as you all working towards the same goal. Speaking on behalf of the art department,

Sincerly,

Jere Sallee

Quick Update!

Good Morning my beauties!

We are moving 4:00pm Friday meetings to Cheever Hall room 214 -

We need to figure out if we will be using Jere or Elizabeth's camper/trailer and how we will be transporting it.

We still need an assistant to Marc Boyer.

We still need a full time crafts services person - I'll be talking to Mary Neff about this.

Auditions last night were entirely encouraging! We have some fabulous talent in this area and I encourage everyone to keep this in mind when you're casting for your projects. We will be holding a second audition night - Tuesday - February 6th at 7:15 pm. If you want to send anyone our way be sure they get the reading ahead of time. They are available below in the earlier blogs.

Every step we take in this project sends me back to cloud nine people! You guys ROCK!!!!

Lead or be Lunch

Where does "lead or be lunch" come from?

We have the lawnmower (i hope we get to use it) and the garbage can.

What's with the "lead or be lunch" statement some have asked me. It's my motto and directly linked to this story.

Every morning somewhere in Africa a lion wakes up and knows it must run faster than the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. Every morning somewhere in Africa a gazelle wakes up and knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or they will die a horrible death.

The moral of the story: It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or the gazelle, when the sun comes up, you better be running. If our efforts are half-assed, our results will be half-assed. Often we have to get up earlier, work harder and skip the leisure time. Are you driven to get everything you want out of life?

Lead or be Lunch, it's all about ambition.
